The price we pay to live in Paradise is pretty crazy! Many of us don’t even really live an expensive lifestyle, yet it seems we still can never truly live comfortably.
Many locals, and many of my family members work 2, sometimes even 3 different jobs just to put food on the table. The rest goes to bills, groceries, and all the other expenses we have to pay just to survive and get by.
If you can relate, then you should definitely keep reading because you’re broke, you want to start some kind of side hustle or business, you have NO capital or money to invest or start, but you still want to know what other avenues are out there for you to try and make an extra $100 a day online, probably because you noticed other people are doing it, and now you’re at a point where you really just don’t have anything else to lose!
I mean how cool would that be… What would that do for you and your family?
To be broke as hell, yet find a way to earn $100 a day or maybe even an extra $1000 per month?
Now you’re probably wondering, but what if I don’t have my own brand, my own product, or anything that I can sell? And what if I don’t want to do the whole MLM thing, you know, Pyramid Schemes where I have to recruit others to my business opportunity.
Well, don’t worry guys! That’s why I’m here, to help you understand all the different misconceptions of working online and how there are many different business models you can get started with. It’s just about finding a business model that you like, something that works for you, and something you can promote with utmost pride and integrity.
That’s why the best way and simplest way to make money online even if you’re broke is Affiliate Marketing.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting other people’s (or company’s) products. You find a product you like or already use, promote it to others and earn a piece of the profit for each sale that you make.
The reason why it is definitely the best way to get started as a newbie, and of course, if you’re broke is because of 4 main reasons listed below:
- You don’t have to create, own, or even have a product
- You don’t have to build inventory or do customer service
- You can build multiple streams of passive income with it
- You can do it all with organic and free traffic
All you have to do is find a product that already exists or a something people are looking for, and put it in front of people that are already looking for that specific product.
And because you don’t need to invest in inventory, you don’t need to pay out employees, and since there are so much FREE methods of traffic online nowadays, that’s why Affiliate Marketing is perfect for those who are completely broke.
The best examples are all these people on social media promoting their links or discounts codes. Those are actually called, “Affiliate Links” or “Affiliate Codes” meaning that you are affiliated with their company, where you can earn a commission simply by referring them to the company or their products.
And that’s where some people or many may get confused between Affiliate Marketing and Network Marketing or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM).
Affiliate Marketing VS Network Marketing
Basically, as an Affiliate Marketer, you earn a straight direct commission on all the products sold or bought through your Affiliate Links.
With Network Marketing, it’s a bit different because you are earning commissions primarily on recruiting people (duplication) as opposed to referring products or services.
Network Marketing has gotten a bad rep because of bad marketing, false hope, misconceptions, etc, but it’s not entirely bad because there are some good companies out there… just as long as whatever company or products your promoting has good intentions and you learn how to market with integrity.
Examples of Affiliate Marketing
Now, let’s talk about some of the biggest examples or types of Affiliate Marketing:
- Facebook, the largest media company, creates no content
- Uber, the world’s largest taxi company, owns no vehicles
- Airbnb, the largest accommodation provider, owns no real estate
- Netflix, the largest online streaming service, owns none of the movies / shows
- Alibaba, the most valuable retailer, owns no inventory
So what do all of these multi-billion dollar companies have in common?
They serve as links that connect people to products that they already desire.
In essence, this is the idea of AFFILIATE MARKETING… when you have a certain group of people that have a problem, and you find an already existing product or service and refer them to those people because it solves their pain point or problem.
If it’s so simple, then why do most people fail with Affiliate Marketing?
You see, it may be simple, but it’s not easy. If it was easy then everyone would be doing it right? I’ll be completely honest with you, most people that get into affiliate marketing actually fail miserably.
That is because the problem with most amateur entrepreneurs is that they just direct link to their offers instead on first focusing on adding VALUE to people’s lives and to the marketplace.
There is nothing differentiating them from the high competition that exists in affiliate marketing.
So how did I end up succeeding while others are struggling?
I decided to learn how to build my own Personal Brand and an audience that would be interested in my content and my personality.
Why did I do that?
Because even though people can copy my offers, my ads, and my sales products. What they cannot copy is my personality.
You see, I’m not the only one that recommends Wealthy Affiliate.
And I’m not the only one that recommends ClickFunnels.
But why do people buy from me as opposed to other people?
That’s because I have put in the time in building my presence on social media and my blog to be based as an “attractive character” with a personality that my audience can relate to.
This is how you can separate yourself from the competition and everyone else promoting the same thing and this is how you can take your business to the next level.
Mahalo for reading.
I hope this helped!
Lastly, it’s not ever about making a lot of money. It’s simply about making just enough money to live comfortably so that you don’t ever have to worry about not making enough money (if that makes sense. Lol.)
